The goal of this project was to develop a report of recommendations for improving the usability and interface of the Parks Foundation of Clark County’s website.

Role

• Led and collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop a report on usability guidelines and recommendations
• Determined and defined clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for each team
• Created a content development strategy for building usability guidelines

Project Scope

• Researched and proposed recommendations for complete overhaul of the PFCC website, including revised navigation and website structure for improved user experience
• Analyzed the current website to create recommendations for implementing new features and optimization to improve the user experience
• Developed prototypes for both desktop and mobile, that reflect the stakeholders and users’ preferences that show the visual hierarchy of the information for each main section
• Created a list of types of testing that should be conducted throughout the development stage to ensure proper functionality, usability, and to remove unnecessary elements
• Assessed all existing pages to create a complete inventory of all issues to address while building a new website
• Produced a detailed proposal to increase social media use with recommendations for channel and platform analysis, SWOT, buyer personas, and campaign development
• Created SEO recommendations to increase searchability and drive traffic to the redesigned website through keyword usage and targeting, title tags, and crawlable link structure

This project covers all avenues of digital technology by reimagining and rebranding the website and social content to support the mission and values of the Parks Foundation of Clark County. Each team collaborated to create videos, graphics, copy, and various creative detailing through unique skill sets that benefit the Clark County community.

• Designed a new logo, branding and style guide to reflect the mission and values of the Parks Foundation of Clark County (PFCC)
• Created an intuitive, responsive WordPress website to enhance the Foundation’s online presence to increase donations, volunteering, and partnerships to build a stronger community
• Developed an interactive map showcasing recent projects throughout Clark county
• Produced three videos promoting the organization by showcasing parks, events, and statistical information
• Developed and implemented a social media marketing plan to establish and strengthen brand trust

Led the design vision of this tech start-up, and helped set the product direction for the launch of their mobile app created as a labor solution for builders and contractors in the residential construction sector.

The goal of this project was to improve the branding and usability of the Seed To Spoon mobile gardening app.

• Worked to identify product pain points to find potential solutions to better fulfill the user’s needs in a revised launcher screen for the app
• Performed user research to provide recommendations to develop revised content structure
• Created high-fidelity mock-ups

• Revamped logo for a more modern, simplified look and stronger visual presents to be used as an app icon
• Provided users with a logo that visually tells them what the app is about

Project Overview

The goal of this project was to develop a website that informs people in the Pacific Northwest about the importance of living more sustainably through simple lifestyle changes like gardening. The website goes over the benefits of both gardening and composting to show how each of us can reduce the amount of our waste by growing some of the foods we eat and composting. The video remix demonstrates the importance of composting as well as how to properly compost. The illustrated infographic shows a planting guide for the region, which plants do well in pots, a frost schedule, and ways to extend your growing season.

An interactive experience to showcase five U.S. cities known for their contributions to Blues music.

Role

UX/UI Designer and Developer

• Hand-coded web page and customized MapBox map
• Created content to showcase different Blues historical details of each city on the map
• Integrated a well-known Blues song into the content sections to allow the user to listen and experience the style of Blues that originated from the area

• Learned how to use MapBox’s open source mapping platform to customize a map design
• Integrated the custom map into a web page
• Used Javascript to zoom to coordinates for each city when the web page is scrolled to each section
• Use Javascript to enrich user experience through integrating sample music style for each city
